FIABCI MALAYSIA – PPK MALAYSIA STRATA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SEMINAR 2019 – Good Governance and Good Practices in a Developed Economy

We are pleased to announce that PPKM and FIABCI Malaysia will again be co-organising this popular seminar to address on-going problems and daily situations in strata management.

The seminar takes a close look at strata management from the viewpoints of both building owners and developers with speakers from the private and public sectors sharing case studies and their insightful experience with participants.

Participants at the seminar will be able to pick up tips from practitioners in the private sector as well as from senior officers in the public sectors like the Commissioner of Buildings (COB) department. The seminar will cover the following topics:

Study Trip to Seoul, Korea, June 2019

STUDY TRIP 2019 TO SEOUL, KOREA: Sunday, 16 June – Saturday, 22 June (7D/4N)

Greetings and anyeong ha seyo ! We are pleased to announce our long haul study trip for 2019 to SEOUL, KOREA.

Seoul is virtually a paradise for shoppers with its shopping malls and myriad shopping precincts offering much more than their famous Korean skincare products and cosmetics. There are malls to cater to the high-end shoppers as well as bargain-hunters, with merchandise creatively packaged in state-of-the-art buildings to the maze-like street shopping. Shopping in Seoul famously also caters for insomniacs – where you will shop till you drop until closing time at 5.00 am (!) so get ready your stamina for the Korean shopping experience like no other.

We hope to visit several of exciting malls such as LOTTE World Tower & Mall, Starfield COEX Mall, D-Cube City Mall, Mecenatpolis Mall, Times Square Mall, I’Park Mall, Doota Mall, Noon Square, Migliore Mall, IFC Mall, GOTO Mall, Common Ground for participants to focus on building design, merchandise mix, visual merchandising and marketing techniques etc.

UPDATES FROM MEMBERS – REGISTRATION AS PROPERTY MANAGERS

REGISTRATION AS PROPERTY MANAGERS WITH THE BOARD OF VALUERS, APPRAISERS, ESTATE AGENTS AND PROPERTY MANAGERS (BOVAEP) (or Lembaga Penilai, Pentaksir, Ejen Hartanah and Pengurus Harta (LPPEH) Malaysia

We refer to our previous circulars dated 21 December 2017 ref 057/12/17 and dated 6 August 2018 ref 033/08/18 on the above and would like to request members to please update PPKM on the status of their applications to BOVAEP as we understand that there are numerous members who have applied and are still waiting for the results.

If there are others whose applications have been rejected or put on KIV, BOVAEP has advised that you may appeal for further consideration to them and has further advised that all applicants need to state their job scope and job specifications in detail, particularly to show that they have carried out or are carrying out building/ mall management.

Whilst PPK Malaysia is not the approving body, it would be appreciated that you could please keep us informed via the attached form so that we may monitor any submissions which may be unduly rejected. Therefore, we seek your co-operation to please complete the form and return same to us latest by 15 April 2019.

 

 


CASC Conference, Kuala Lumpur 10-12 September 2019

 

Greetings ! PPK Malaysia is pleased to announce that we shall be hosting CASC Conference 2019!

CASC Conference 2019 is an annual regional conference involving industry experts from member countries and supported and endorsed by our affiliates like Asosiasi Pengelola Pusat Belanja Indonesia (APPBI), Institute of Shopping Centre Management (ISCM) from Hong Kong, Mall China, Japan Council of Shopping Centers (JCSC) and Taiwan Council of Shopping Centers (TCSC).

Themed ‘The Now and The Future’ – The Mall Story, the conference will focus on stories and case studies from malls and retailers from around the region and delegates will be able to pick up useful tips in shopping mall management especially from recently opened malls.
