SAFETY & SECURITY 1-DAY WORKSHOP – OVERCOMING THREATS AND EMERGENCIES

In the light of several recent incidents, both locally and globally, which have compromised the safety and security of the public including shoppers, we are pleased to announce that we are organising the abovementioned workshop to create closer awareness and preparedness for security personnel in shopping malls.

This in addition to our annual training seminar on safety and security and we would seek your support to participate in the 1-day workshop here as follows:

Venue                              : Cititel Hotel, Level 5, Mid Valley City Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 Kuala Lumpur

Fee (inclusive of GST)     : RM625.40 (member), RM 837.40 (non member)

This workshop is specially organised with the support of senior officers from the relevant departments ie Royal Malaysia Police (or Polis DiRaja Malaysia – PDRM) and the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (Jabatan Keselamatan & Kesihatan Pekerjaan – JKKP).

At the training seminar, speakers will share information on the following:

• the background of terrorism, how security personnel should look out for potential perpetrators or threatening situations including simulation exercises

• monitor and control of the use of social media against the background of terrorism and other threats

• escalator safety eg. compliance with regulations and behavior aspects of users

• how to mitigate or deal with threats and emergencies in shopping malls etc
